Located on the first floor of the Rohan Palace, presenting a fascinating overview of the history of European painting from its debut to 1870: Italian and Flemmish Primitives (Giotto, Memling), Renaissance and Mannerism (Botticelli, Raphael, Veronese, Lucas de Leyde, El Greco); Baroque, Naturalism and Classicism from the 17th and 18th centuries (Reubens, Vouet, Zurbaran, Largilliere's La Belle Strasbourgeoise, Canaletto, Tiepolo, Goya); 19th century (Delacroix, Chasseriau, Corot, Courbet).
The museum's reserves are open to the public every first Saturday of the month.
